Life and Style Linkup: Spring Dresses

Wednesday, April 15, 2015

Happy Wednesday! This week's Life and Style Linkup is all about Spring dresses! Teaming up with the elegant Christina from Posh Pair, we both chose similar colors this week! Check out her full post here.

Who doesn't love a great Malibu sunset?! The lighting in these fields was way too gorgeous pass up. We decided to snap a few pics on our last date night this past weekend. The vibrant strapless dress is from a Miss Me sample sale. The ruffle detail along the bodice is my absolute favorite! I accessories with my light wash jean jacket, and this equally vibrant teal purse from Michael Kors.

There were so many amazing photos from this shoot, I couldn't get to them all, so I'll be updating later on this week ;)

Life and Style Linkup: Braids

Braid Hairstyle and Spring Fashion

Happy Wednesday! This week we are featuring Braids on Life and Style Linkup, and I decided to combine my two favorites into one hybrid style! It's called a Dutch Fishtail braid, and I am slightly obsessed. It's been added to my lengthy list of need-to-shoot tutorials.

Plus, who doesn't love bright pink and navy?? I love the versatility of all the classic purse styles at Gigi New York. It's so easy to go from daytime style to date night style.

Check out the photos below of other posts from Design Life Diaries, and how I combined the two braids together!

Life and Style Linkup: Pastels

Wednesday, March 25, 2015

Things have been crazy around our house these last few weeks! Lots of new things heading our way, and I could not be more impatient. In the meantime, Christina and I have teamed up again for our weekly linkup. This week's theme is Pastels, so make sure you scroll to the bottom to link up your best look!

This maxi dress is from Paper Crown by Lauren Conrad. Her newest collection is soft and feminine, and it is absolutely perfect for Spring. I was able to stop by her pop up shop on Valentine's Day weekend and picked up this gorgeous dress just in time for my birthday! Courtesy of my awesome hubby :D

Life and Style Linkup: Florals

Wednesday, March 18, 2015

I hope you all had a fun St. Patty's Day yesterday! Between errands, work, and blogging we didn't have much time to celebrate the holiday, but we'll make up for it this weekend :D.

This week's Life and Style Linkup is all about the florals. Big prints, little accents, what's your favorite way to wear it?! Check out Christina from Posh Pair's cute floral shorts here.

I have so many floral items in my closet, it was hard to decide what to feature this week! These Steve Madden pumps are pretty hard to pass up when I'm looking for a cute statement piece. You can find them at LuLu*s, but you have to be quick because there are only a few pairs left! (Psst...the dress is from LuLu*s too!)

Spring Forward

Tuesday, March 10, 2015

All aboard the struggle bus! Are you guys feeling the time change this week as much as I am? Early mornings have been extra challenging for me. Luckily, the time change means Spring is just around the corner, which brings us to this week's linkup theme of Spring Forward Style! Teaming up with the always chic Christina from PoshPair, scroll to the bottom of the post your outfit!

This week's look is Little House on the Prairie chic ;)...with some hawt black heels I inherited from my close friend, Kathy. Any chance I have to raid her closet, I get so excited! Last week we had a girls night with a few friends, a bottle of wine, and a whole night of shopping each other's wardrobe. It was so fun, and so much better than just getting rid of them.

Black and White Style

Tuesday, March 3, 2015

It's official! Christina from PoshPair is back as co-host of our weekly Life and Style Linkup! For her first week back, we decided on the ultra classic theme of Black and White. Check out her full post here.

I was lucky enough to shoot today's post between rainstorms this weekend, and we ended up getting a few pics before the downpour. If you live in the LA area, you know it made for a stunning sunset Sunday night. So beautiful!

This week, I chose one of my coziest cotton dresses with an intricate black lace detail at the hem. Paired with a black blazer, a loose ponytail, and some simple stud earrings I tried to keep a balance of laid back and dressy.

The bright pink heels and matching bright pink purse add in my always needed girlie touch, and really pop against these basics.

Rainy Day Style

Tuesday, February 24, 2015

Rain, rain, go away...come again another day! Just kidding, check out that luscious green grass!! California is without a doubt in need of some rainfall, but did it have to happen on the weekend? From sunny skies last week, I'm just glad it didn't happen over Valentine's Day.

You might think I'm crazy for wearing heels when it's raining, but I absolutely hate when my pants are soaked from the puddles on the sidewalk. Solution: folded cuffs and heels. As long as I have my hubby's arm to use as balance, I can avoid any embarrassing wipe-outs. ;)

For my hair, I usually "scrunch" it to get a more relaxed, wavy look. This way the rain won't ruin any curls or flat-ironed locks. Otherwise, I'll just throw it up in a messy bun.

What do you think about the rain? Love it or hate it?!
